A Better Way to Name and Manage Your Heros

I have yet to see anyone on these forums post this idea, so if someone already has, sorry.

Some people like to give their heros names that help you identify their srengths.

Examples:

Politics heros could be Obama, McCain, Clinton, Bush, etc
Attack heros could be Ali, Rambo, Bourne, etc
Intelligence heros could be Einstein, Hawkings, etc

This can help you a lot with remember which heros are good at what when you have over a dozen of them.

Well what about when you have a couple dozen heros or more?

It starts becoming hard to remember which hero is which and who you want to level and who has the better base stats and all of that.

Here is a solution that I use.

I name my heros according to their stats.

Example:

Hero1 is 51 Politics, 12 Attack, 101 Intel (with their base level 1 intel being 66)
Hero2 is 11 Politics, 120 Attack, 33 Intel (with their base level 1 attack being 69)
Hero3 is 104 Politics, 22 Attack, 31 Intel (with their base level 1 politics being 67)
Hero4 is 108 Politics, 14 Attack, 23 Intel (with their base level 1 politics being 69)

I would name them:

I101-b66
A120-b69
P104-b67
P108-b69

Naming them this way allows me to know their key stats and base stats without opening up the Hero menu every time.

It comes in handy a lot!

Call me insane but I like my heroes names as they are, the general name of any hero, It gives them that realistic feel to them.

Also it give you something to do when your bored by checking in on the heroes from the stats page with all the other heroes to see who has the best, or where you politics hero ranks on attack by similarly named heroes.

Still smart idea though. :) I'm sure something of a similar nature is done by others already but you're the first to write a guide on it in my book.

I use a very similar strategy, but your method would require you to rename each hero every time they level...

So, my technique is to leave their first part of their name and add a suffix like:

Sue_A69 (An attack hero, with L1 Base Attack of 69)
Bob_I68 (An intel hero, with L1 Base Intelligence of 68)
Dave_P70 (A politics hero, with L1 Base Politics of 70)

There you have it!

I could never change the names of my heros.

Tango
Cash
Pork
Beans
Franky
Hollywood
Sid
Nancy
Chevy
Ford
Toyota
Honda
Dodge
etc....

Personally, I'm not that emotionally invested in my heroes.

I use a variation on the methods others have mentioned here for numbering my heroes. If my cities were named Springfield, Quohog, and Bedrock, my heroes would be named as follows: SP_POL, SP_INT, SP_ATT_1, SP_ATT_2, etc

This permits me to know there home city, function, and relative strength in the hierarchy of that city. By adding their home city I can keep them linked to a city as I move them around periodically.

I've always done this. I don't really see the need to include the base stat
in the name though.

I always just label mine according to their primary stat. Att150, Int140, Pol139, etc, etc.

A reason to include base stat is so you know which one you like to level.

Example:

You have 2 heros both with A159 except one is base stat 74 and one is base stat 66.

Instead of two named A159, you name them:

A159-b74
A159-b66

This way you know the one you want to level up is the 74 one... so send that one to all the high level NPCs, send the lower one to others

i Myself just add the initial of the higher lvl stat to the end of my heros name

Ex:

RockA
MivisI
LeonardP

lets me know which hero 2 use for scout/attackingor the Mayor but this idea may make me change the way i think and add the stats but ill have a look agian and decide

Mine is simple

Attack1, 2, 3, 4, and so on.
Attack2-1, 2-2, and so on are other cities with Attacks1 always being the strongest hero.
