well i skipped 2 pages as it looked pretty repetitive towards page 6 and 7. these games generally support themselves off ad revenue, if lucky this covers server cost and general upkeep (some do make a decent profit on top). coding in new features takes time and unless it is being done strictly for "fun" it is going to cost money. It makes sense that they will try to recover the cost and possibly make more off this feature. people who are on vacation mode are likely not visting the site in that time frame so they are also not viewing the ad's that created revenue, makes sence to charge.
that being said. no i will not be using VM as long as it is a pay for feature, i play casual and have spent a few dollars on the game already and i think that is more than enough.
I did it.
That means one of either two things.
1/ I'm really super-amazin'.
2/ You're over-reactin' and don't realise that it's not really such a horrible, deathy place after all.
Personally, I like the first one. Maybe it is impossible for a new player to start on an old server..I'm jus' the exception that proves the rule?
Well, seen as oh so many people think it's a good idea, I shall be messaging you my dates for my holiday, and you can pay for my VM :)
Before, I would've disagreed with this entirely. However, take a look at this information.
It costs Evony roughly $7250 a month to run their servers. Just off of ad revenue along, they're bringing in over $170K a month. Their company is currently valued at over $3,000,000. Now, tell me that they can't afford to offer this feature for free or give out "thank you" packages for free.
Oh, and in case you're wondering where I'm getting these numbers from, click on this. http://websiteshadow.com/evony.com
why do u need vacation feutres
unless you going to lose city which is ridulosly hard to do
sitters can look after your account
and i can personally put 200k in each city while im on hols so im sure other players can manage this
How does one enter vacation mode?
