New games and new versions are different things, and get treated as such.
I'm w/ Foxy, here...(I think I said it myself somewhere yesterday, too)...even client-based games take 9months~1year+ to come out w/ any serious updates/new versions and in the midst of it all they really add in is extra CS features; not real updates and often not even real patches that affect the community as a whole.
For a browser game to be comin' out w/ a new version within a reasonable timeframe that can match that expected timeframe of client games should be encouragement to anyone w/ any patience, sense or a coherent head that there are advancements comin' out. Expectin' bit-by-bit advances and updates every two weeks is unrealistic from any game.
Expect most of the upcomin' changes to be in Age II and, aye, most upcomin' changes after that will be in Age III...and why's that so terrible? It's only the exact same thing that every other game does...I don't get to max lvl and ask for a lvl-cap raise half way between two versions ju's cuz I'm impatient...I wait patiently for the next version which will include the lvl cap raise.
