Tht's what I meant.
On another note: Im doing a project, in school, I need to make a graphical comic based on a poem, with the words on the pages representing the scenery. I chose the 5th Holy Sonnet by John Donne. He was a great poet of the time and wrote great things. Do you people know any other great Reinaissance poets and also no Shakespeare because Shakespeare is OVERRATED. You heard me. Almost everyone else in the room picked some of his poems.
Poe's a great choice, can't ever go wrong with Poe. Not sure if he's a Renaissance poet though.
To be honest I took a look. The teacher said he would be okay since he wrote a few works (I don't think they were poems) in the time. The Reinissnce also didn't have definite end so Dante could have been in the time frame. Some regard the end was when Constintople ended up in the hands of the Ottoman Empire. Some believe it ended much, much, much later.
I enjoy learning about the Reinaissance. Especially the Tudors. I know alot about the time frame form King Henry the 8th till the end of the Elizabethan rule. But were not aloud to bring religion into this so let's skip that shall we...(even though I enjoy religious debates).
I think Conrad might like this kind of thread...
