i cant see this 30-40%drop on lvl 10 flats for rose medals if i use scouts happenin. im a prinsenzzin but i think ill try it anyway cos i know people who are still still lookeing for them.. ill let u know how it goes once i build some scouts to waste
i know they do have a higher drop, rate but i think they rarely drop rose medals.
surely its only a temporary setback... they can repair them so well nowadays (i used to be a physiotherapist) not that i am an expert on sports scholarshipsQuote:

Ultimate Guidelines- Used to decrease building or research time by 30%. 120C

Okay, I will be changing my medal guide very soon, because this strategy doesn't seem to be working well with newer servers.
This is a noob question:
With reference to your Tax Strategy, if set to 50% or 100% while online, do I set it back to around 20% when I'm offline/sleeping?

Yes you would set it back to 20%. If you just leave it too high when you're offline, you could end up in messes.

For the medal farming, I am on server 84 and I was able to get a lot of medals from lvl 10 valleys(not only flats) and you don't have to conquer them. the drop rate was about 1 medal/3 valleys. The problem I have is that today(11 November) I can't seem to get any medals. Now I'm not really sure about this.

Edit: I got i Wisdom medal in about 20 attacks. don't know if I were lucky before or if I am unlucky now.
ok when server resets every day valleys change
so go scout every lvl 10 valley with half hour march (Flats, lakes, marsh, grass, forests, hills & deserts ALL VALLEYS) every valley...
if you find any ponies or archers.. leave em alone...
those that have JUST infintry i.e. pikes, swords and warriors make a note of co ords..
now attack these valleys with 13-20k archer dependant on hero lvl (rainbow thin) and let troops respawn.. (DO NOT CONQ) if you conq the valleys change thier shape i.e. they have different troop types next time you attack.. also if anyone else happens to conq and abandon
each valley has a different drop rate of different medals.... i have a spreadsheet but thats my hard work you work out which valleys drop what the most :eek:
its a tried and trested method working on newer servers...

im new to the game so trin to learn how to play have 2 citys buit up pretty good but very time consumming after lvl 6 stuff now.
one things that worked for me when starting out and havin a low population.
taxes. best way to make gold is to have 100% taxes with 100 loyalty, now comforting adds 5 loaylty each time, and from watchin how fast it drops from 100 to 95 is usally aprox 20 -25 minutes. so you need to comfory when it gets to 95. also when youve been gone over night the best thing would be to drop taxes to 25% so you still have the 75% population, & when you come back on it doesnt take so much time to get back to 100 loyalty again. just lowering your taxes to 15 % apply comfort once (loaylty then will be 80) till loyalty gets to 85, decrease taxes again to 5% apply comfort again (loaylty should be 90) wait till you get 95 loyalt and now slam the tax to 100% comfort again bang up to 100 loyalty,(this still takes about 55 minutes to do) and repeat comfort every 25ish minutes and keep the gold comin. cause at 25% tax and 75% poulation your goin to make the same if you have your tax at 50% at 50% poulation. if you leave your tax at 50% all the time goin to cost a lot to comfort your loyalty to 100 and also time. this is good for begginers, now that i have so many cottages and my population is so big, to comfort is costin me a lot of food. am i only goin to get 50-55 loyalty when i have 18 cottages?
the biggest thing ive been lookin for would be an attack guide. being newbee dont know how to send troops out and in what order. there are formations "rainbow" that i not sure how to set up. im figurin i need more then one attack hero to send out in waves. but how do i take out defenses like AT & traps. do i send out my ballista and warroirs at the same time do i send warriors first and have them take out traps but then will the AT take them out befor they get the traps? do i send out the balista to take out towers first then what will happen to them, will traps and such take them out. i have sent out warriors and ballista and have had them all wipped out after i though i would be victrious.
any help in this department woulb be appriciated thank you. and if this makes no sence plz help im lost then...lol

First of all - thank you for putting all of this together! I'm about 6 weeks into the game and it's time I learned what the heck I'm doing :o
2 questions if I may:
- I've read that you need to 'earn' medals, ie: you need to just succeed in winning the battle. Some have said that means attacking with a weaker hero - any truth to this?
-you mention that you need to conquer the valley, but this too contradicts what I've read in some other posts. Has that changed for newer servers (I'm on 76 btw).
Not doubting you, just wondering if maybe I misunderstood what I've read, or that maybe things have changed.
