I play a lot of different sports, usually for 10 to 20 days focusing on one or two sports because after that amount of time I tend to get bored. Right now I play badminton and tennis; I'm actually quite good at badminton, so I'm thinking of sticking with it for a while. I do quite a bit of trapshooting and archery in my spare time.
I take no joy in watching sports when I could be playing them, so I too don't really have any favorite teams. Though if it comes down to it, I root for California.
I like hockey. Nice n violent.
Football (American) is my favorite sport to play and watch
Hockey is another one of my favorite sports to play, My uncle was a goalie in a semi-pro league back in Pennsylvania. I'm a goalie aswell although I watch it much less then Football (American).
Basketball, I never watch it. I'm very good at it though. :)
Soccer is a sport I can play goalie at, but only school soccer, I don't watch it.
Baseball, I can pitch. I used too, but the sport bores me playing and watching.
I love to play football im a defensive end so its pretty dang fun, its also fun to watch.
Baseball is a bore to play and watch.
Soocer is really fun to play but a real bore to watch.
Im thiniing about wresling (no one say anythign about it beign gay), never really did much with it though.
Hockey i dont play because there is no where to play it and frankly i just cant skate lol.
Thats my view on sports
It wouldn't, except americans have a habit of insisting that their word for it is the correct word and that the only game called "football" is their game, despite the fact that every other country on the planet calls it football and, indeed, invented the game first.
If they jus' called it their way carefree (as most folk on this thread have, I'll grant) then no one would really mind too much (with the odd exception), but when they start gettin' all arrogant and the like it tends to be flamebait...
In other words, call it what you want as long as you're clear what you're gettin' at (look at JPAs post). They shouldn't jus' say "it's american football and soccer" and expect the rest of the planet to jus' be cool with it.
As for sports...I'm not much a sport person. Most of my physical acivity goes down to karate (don't you dare call it a sport +_+) and simply walkin'...
As far as sports go, I'd only really play pool/snooker/billiards when in such an environment that has a table.
Football (the real one) bores the crap out of me to watch...it's become far too non-contact and "omg I huwt my weg! fowl fowl!". Rugby and it's international variants are definitely more fun to watch. Basketball is probably the most fun to play though, but I'm no good at it 'cuz I'm short :3
I have an urge to quote and edit everyone's post that says soccer in it...
well, sometimes we say american football, so I think when you just say football it is considered as the sport tricky and others are playing or thinking of,
but honestly some countries including ours, called it soccer because, well the first we heard of it it was soccer, to avoid the confusion for american football and soccer,
but I'm not saying IT IS the RIGHT WORD, I'm just saying that it's the name we know the sport bears,
p.s. we do play a lot of soccer/football here, I mean they, ^_^ I smoke so I get tired quickly
Well, I gtg for a bit, going to cricket training!
