Riddles

-Ok, requires a bit of setup;

You are on a journey, on your way to a very important thing. You arrive at a fork in the road - and you have no idea which way to go, Left or Right !?

Standing at the road junction are two twin brothers, they look exactly the same. They both know which road is the correct one.

You only have enough time to ask One of the brothers One question!

But these brothers are very weird, because the one brother Always Lies, while the other brother Always Tells the Truth. But you don't know which one is which...

What question can you ask to find out which is the correct path to take?

Classic riddle. ;)

You ask "If I asked your brother which fork to take, what would he tell me?"

Let's assume the correct answer is the right fork.
The lying brother will tell you his brother would say left.
The honest brother would tell you his brother will say left.

No matter what answer they give, the correct direction is the opposite.


I prefer this riddle when it's two doors instead of a fork in the road.
Behind one door is a a treasure.
Behind the other door is certain death!!! :eek:
