you can tell alot about a persons age over the internet just by the way they type . they might be able to fake it for awhile but will eventually slip up
this will never get serious attention form them with only about four of us discussing it

You guys are on to something here, try fleshing out the idea's better, what would the standards be exactly, look at the rules for this forum posted by Evony Admin and see if you can come up with some similar guidlines or rules, I will gladly play the "devil's advocate" role and see if I can find ways around your rules.
What about all those mature children out there who are just as smart as adults and would like to be treated by adults and not interrupted by those 5 years olds who can't use a computer ANYWAYS.
If you were going to make an 18+ forum, it would be nice for other people below 18 to be there too. Maybe there could be a way of recommending a mature "child" to this forum by someone already there to not cripple the mature people younger than 18.
By allowing "mature" children in you would have to set a standard. What standard is there really for a "mature" child, also, mature and child seem a bit contradictory, do they not?
the whole point of an 18+ room is so noone under 18 is in it . it doesnt matter how mature they are . thats like saying a 21+ bar should let people under 21 that are as mature or more than someone 21+ in .
I think that they're trying to make the point that age doesn't define maturity or intelligence. Having an 18+ forum would for that people 18 and over, so allowing those younger "exceptions" would destroy the purpose but wouldn't everybody gain if they are reallying deserving and mature?
An interesting suggestion. However, since there is not an exact method of telling the age of a user, if there is an intelligent enough user that is younger who wants to have access to the forums, it would be difficult to actually stop them. However, the issue I have with that, is that while there may be the child that is mature enough to handle that, it is possible that their parents may not want them in that kind of a situation.
I see your point, but that logic can be aplied to thing with an age limit, if a kid lies to get into a chat room its not our, or your, or however you want to say it, problome, it's the parents, also the point was made that people would soon reveal themselves, I for one think it would be great to have a forum where the rules were a bit more relaxed and mature conversations about what ever could be heald.
