Ok, so..
What's the big deal with guys liking Twilight?
I know a lot of guys that like Twilight..doesn't make them any different.
Saying guys shouldn't like Twilight is just like saying girls shouldn't like video games.
People can like whatever they want, and gender shouldn't matter.
Just wanted to know what the big deal was..

Ok, the book, which i haven't read, is probably awesome. And the fact is, i know some guys that read the book, but haven't seen the movie(or saw the first one and just gave up.). So, by my observations and asking them how it was, I will conclude that Guys <3 twilight book, but Guys </3 twilight movie. I guess the movie is for girls...
And if there is a girl who likes games, call me :D

Its was an OK movie, I'm a guy and yes I watched it. lol A girl made me, It just wasn't my thing....
Reading the book didn't kill me,
getting shot by brotherhood (several times) didn't kill me,
years of alcohol abuse at the Bar didn't kill me,
but watching the movie did...

It's not that GUYS shouldn't like Twilight, it's that anyone with a decent mentality (i'm sure i'll get flamed by SOMEONE for saying this), knowledge and appreciation of true literary work should realize Twilight isn't good, DEFINITELY isn't great, and people only like it because of this pop culture mentality we've thrust upon today's youth.Quote:

So I crawled out from under my rock to see what is happening in the world and here is all this "Twilight" stuff happening. I have to say that I had never heard of it before this latest super-hyped movie release.
Call me an old cynic but it's been my experience over many, many years that any movie that is hyped so much is usually a stinker.
But to the young men on the forum, can I suggest this? If this film gives the girls a special tingle, that can't be bad. Take a young lady along to see the movie and wait for the right monment to launch a stealthy attack on her neck. If you time it right, a favourable response may ensue, which may lead to something you remember far longer than the awful movie you weren't really watching anyway. ;)
Real men do all sorts of things they normally would not, if it involves the love of a good woman.
I find the books to be disgusting examples as well, and I beg you to tell me exactly how they are appropriate, good literature, or even something appropriate for the minds of young girls? These books give the ideal of a man who stalks and belittles, is violent and cold to the girl... but gives the example of it being okay because it is 'true love'. How is that worth defending? In the second novel, the lead female actually leaps from a cliff so she can prove how much she loves him, but it was okay because destroying your life for a man is perfectly acceptable for 'true love'.Quote:
