anone in the usa getting hit hard bye snow
We are getting a ton. 10 inchs for two days in a row- if the forecasts are right.
No snow here, but it hasn't gotten over freezing in a week. Just clear skies and freexing temps. Which is odd, since I live about 3 blocks from the coast in Washington, and we are usually more mild because of our proximity to the ocean.
Snow was predicted for this weekend, but it has been revised to be rain/snow mixed since it is supposed to warm up. =/ Kinda sad.
Getting about the same as Arumen, or at least Big Bear is, that's 20mins drive from me, up the mountain where I used to live. I can't wait for the clouds to clear so I can get a picture. :) Always looks stunning this time of the year... gorgeous sunshine and palm trees, crystal blue sky, and a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Tough to ever leave this place (SoCal). :D
Empy-Which part of the coast? I grew up in Aberdeen, so I know about WA winters...
Currently in snowy CO, I can ski anywhere in town without having to worry about my skiis ever breaking through to asphalt. :D
We got about 2 inches yesterday, melted overnight though...
I used to live about half an hour from Big Bear (High Desert/Hesperia specifically), so I know what you're talking about. :)
Wow, really? I'm in Aberdeen right now at the college, but I live out in Ocean Shores. What a coincidence. :D I despise this place with every fiber of my being. :D
Trust me, I don't think there's too many that do like that place. :P Though Cardiac Lane makes a nice sled hill on the very rare occasion snow DOES fall. :) Go, Chokers! :D
Man, Cardiac lane is death on a nice day... I think I'd be afraid of flying off and somehow managing to flip a hard right and run into a tree bordering Lake Swano (that's more fun that just flying straight forward into the parking lot). :P And, sadly enough, I know far too many people that do like it here. I've only been here about 2 years, so I have outside perspective. :D
Chokers. *sob* Did you know we're on the TIME magazine's 10 Worst Mascot Names list? We're, like, #7. *facedesk*
i live in wissconsion we are getting 15 inches today well 6 to 15
i got some on the 5 of december
We got 2 inches the other day, but most of it melted the next day and today it warmed up a bit and we've got nothing left really. I have a feeling it will be a snowy winter, though.

On topic: lol if australia had snow right now there would definately be something messed up on this planet
Well, Australia has fairly large territories in the Antarctic...

...and the north of the country is in the tropics.

So we have a pretty wide range of climates. I just happen to live in the dry bit in the middle.
lol i live in Texas and where i live there is no snow. last friday there was a small chance of snow and very little of it came down lol.it was freezing cold and it has been that way since.and it only snows in the panhandle.
heheha i hard therewas SNOW IN TEXAS hashahahahahahhahha
i hve about an inch of snow here in winnipeg cannada
We had about 4 inches, most of which has melted by now. Still, there's a chance of a blizzard for tonight and tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Not true! I'm currently staying (not really living) in Texas (both north and south) and have had snow stick to the ground a couple days in a row in the past. Sadly, the same can not be said for this year, yet. A couple days of snow in a row, but nothing's sticking. :(
My husband and I will probably take a trip in a few days to a place with a lot of snow. :)
It has never snowed in my city......
*buys two snowmen kits and sends one to the eclipse and one to KingAle...

+ REP for that one KA! :)
Yay my very own snowman!!
Quick update.
Storm worse than expected... Expecting to be buried by 4:00-4:30 this afternoon... Possible power outages in my area... May have to leave you right in the middle of posti......
It is 17 degrees Fahrenheit right now. :( I am cold. *shiver*
But the forecast that was revised yesterday says that the cold front has moved more north, so this weekend's temps are going to be in the 40s instead of the 30s (meaning snow) as predicted. That is quite sad, really, because if I had to suffer through a week of temps in the teens, I was hoping for some white stuff to show for it! D:
So hey, send me some snow care packages, would ya? Before your power goes out, Wildor, shove some of that snow through your computer. :p
How much do you want? *gets the snow shovel and cold storage units ready*
-builds a snowman and sends it to Empy in a large battery operated freezer-
(I ish secretly hiding in teh snowman O.O)
