Any other vets here, or those currently on active duty?
I am USMC, '00-'04
I myself am not but my brother is a Marine and my dad was in the Air Force during Vietnam
my husband is active army, he gets out the end of this year, my brother-inlaw is active army, gets out in a couple months i believe, and i grew up with my dad active army (he's now active national guard)
Ex-USAF, B-52 Electronic Warfare Officer/Navigator. 1984-89
I plan on joining th military soon gonna become a drill sarge
Hence my sig
My dad went to the Naval Academy and retired after his 4 year obligation. My sister is currently in the navy and an E-6 I think... can't remember exactly. She's stationed somewhere in West Virginia, a peculiar place for a naval base if you ask me.
I did air cadets when I was a kid, and joined the reserves for the army later on, but I would most likely stick with Air Force as my grandfather always loved the air force but because of his vision was in the Army.
No Coast Guard, LOL
my parents wont accept my decision to to join but its my life right so any recommendations for field marines wont take me
I'm not in the military myself, but my Great Grandpa, Grandpa, Dad, and older brother have been (And are) in the USN. And I plan on joining the USN in two years time. :D
I'm not but my dad was in the Air Force during Vietnam.
I hereby demand that all military boys post current photos in uniform!
If you are that interested I have posted a few older ones to my album. I'll have to dig up more.
I'm going for basic training soon, phrase 1

Yeah lol, I'm not in yet but If I finish phrase 1, phrase 2 and P company then I will be put into 1st para and SFSG, because my phyiscal fitness is very high.

I'm ineligable for service because of vision, asthma, and congenital heart defect, but both my father and paternalgrandfather were Seabees.
Yeah I know, should be a good carrer ;) who knows I may even see you over in afgan!
9 years marine corp 1div and well 0321 detachment mos from coronado cali being a officer i have no actual mos and for those enlisted i am a mustang ooohraaa not a stuck up officer but grew to officer from enlisted ranks
P.S. my avatar is my patch =)
Mmmmm, Marine officers still have an MOS field number....
i went to camp pendleton after making corpal , i went to ocs hence came to the mos 0302
(infantry officer) then applied to coronado cali recon 1div and been accepted so if you want to get tech and personal my main mos is 0302 but i use 0321 just same and yes it does work that way i follow my platoons why should i been different
i never looked at myself any better. i prefer using 0321
thor tbh i have nothing to prove to you far as i know you might be some kid trying to act smart i know what i done and i know where i been son, so believe what you like this is done.
dont call someone a liar when you have no clue about my life and what i been through and done maybe you should do your own homework. far as i am concern conversation is done
on top of that you dont like it so be it, did i come on here testing you not at all but if you want i can drill you just as bad but i respect and have faith in some people.
again your pointless and you can do same but what i can do is post a pic and then show some1 on cam later same guy so anymore bright ideas as well as my bars not some chevrons. Sadly i have no cam atm but to keep my honor and to shut you up for once i go buy one dont ever discredit me
Dude, lets run down the list.
1. You have yet to tell me what level asset you are
2. You have yet to say where you went to basic
3. You have posted the incorrect location of the recon element of 1st MarDiv.
4. You have given an incorrect MOS of a Marine officer (even went so far as to claim you don't have one), then claimed you use it because you want to somehow feel 'closer' to your platoon.
Shall I go on?
I ask again: What level asset are you? Where did you go to basic? Where did you attend SOI (I am not talking about the base, but the part of that base)? How were you commissioned? Where did you attent school?
1.
MOS/Title: 0302 -- Infantry Officer
try again
2. SOI WEST if asking
3. 1st Force Recon Company trains in a variety of locations during their Unit Training Phase. These locations include:
*
Ft. Polk, LA (JRTC)
*
Ft. Lewis, WA
*
Bridgeport, CA
*
Yuma, AZ
*
Ft. Irwin, CA
*
China Lake, CA
*
Coronado, CA
anymore idiot questions that you think you know? maybe you need to learn little bit more about the corp son
1. So, you don't even know what I mean when I talk about asset levels? That is pretty telling.
2. Camp Pendleton isn't a recruit training depot. An enlisted Marine would know what I mean when I ask "Where did you go to basic?"
3. Where did you go to SOI? Do you even know what that is?
4. How were you commissioned?
5. I don't need to recheck Coronado to know that the recon element of 1st MarDiv isn't headquartered there.
6. I have been in, and have got out. Which is obviously more than you can say since you clearly have never been in the US Marines.
I can see you have no idea what I mean by asset level. Again, pretty telling.
SOI west? That isn't what I asked. Hell, that isn't even a real answer.
So now you are Force Recon? You do know that that 'patch' you are using isn't the logo of any Force Recon company, right? How about that Force Recon companies are not part of any Marine division?
Oh hell this is hilarious.
FFFIIIGGGHHHTTT!!!!...
no am just kidding... god bless all the troops... thanks for going out and risking your lifes for me... =X and thats real talk... :D
Alright, lets bring the hostility down a little bit.
