Since I Couldn't Find a Complaints Board...
Since there is no opinion/complaints board(that I saw anyway), I'm not exactly sure where I would place this...
Why is it that the Evony Team advertises "Free Forever" then asks us to sell our souls if we want to actually do more than be wiped out or watch paint dry? I know damn well that, with as many players as Evony has, the prices on items you can buy far exceeds the price of site upkeep(though the greedy creators would NEVER tell us as much). The point of a game like this is not to line the makers pockets with cash, but to provide entertainment and satisfaction for those who play. While this game is fun at first, the cost of playing effectively and the extreme slow pace of the game really serve to drive people away rather than make them want to throw money at the developers. It is by no means entertaining or satisfying. The mechanics of the game are mediocre at the very best, the playability of the game(especially later in the game) is very low. All in all, Evony is flawed right down to the foundation. The concept is great, but the team obviously doesn't know how to approach it. It's also obvious to me that, unless a suggestion will give them more ways to take our money, they don't care what the members have to say.
Now, I know some of you are going to feel the urge to flame/insult/take offense/etc so allow me to give you my email address and my MSN Messenger screen name, that way I'll be able to read all of the frightening/poorly written insults and defenses for the game you feel like sharing with me:
sbaldwin84@ymail.com(email)
odins_messanger@hotmail.com(MSN)
I hope some of you can grow a pair and let me know what you think of what I have to say. Maybe put the fear of God in me. I find those kinds of things amusing to no end, so please write me.
As for the Evony Team, let me know if you ever decide to make this game remotely playable for those of us who enjoy strategy games that run smoothly and can't afford to spend $X.xx every time we find ourselves unable to advance due to sh**ty drop rates.
Until that day, I'm out. I'm sure there are far better games than this that don't ask for your firstborn son in exchange for a key to a chest(which is given as a gift in the first place).
