Someone cut a USB cord and put it in the case for a flash drive, thereby making it look externally similar to a flash drive. As to why someone would pay 299$ for ANY flash drive, well that's beyond me.

You can buy quite a few 32GB USB flash drives for $299. That leads me to conclude, the guy who bought it is cerebrally challenged, to put it nicely.

The image is very old. I actually saw this same pic many many years ago. The dates in the image are over 2 1/2 years old, when $299 for 32GB was a good price.
