If Wildor's going to lock all those threads, it's just useless clutter to have them all lying around, especially the ones on the first few pages. Can we at least start putting them in the archive?

The games are actually pretty reviling, good way to get laughs, and also abundant in Material to use as quotes and Evony: The Gathering Cards. I had a nice convo with Rayne during a word association session last night, something that would not have come up in any other thread unless specified, and then we would have had to make two threads to keep up if the game was not there. Might as well pm if you remove them, but then how can others join in? These games are also a good way to improve the typing skills and pass time whilst waiting for upgrades to be done in evony.
Considering all the other forum sections and the restrictions on certain topics that can be discussed, I'm not sure what would happen if the games were to go. Some of the games are a little bit lame but some can be funny and creative. A lot depends on who is playing them as well.
The Kings Bar is a free conversation thread as long as the normal forum rules are followed there. There have been a couple of other threads that were similar but most have faded away over time. Funny picture threads tend to last for a while and then fade away as well. There have been a few serious discussion threads that have lasted for some time but eventually they lose momentum as well.
The thing about OT is that a lot of members look in here for something that will take their thoughts off the game for a while. Some of us have been playing Evony for quite a long time now and we just look for something that doesn't have anything to do with the game at all. I tend to scan most of the forums except for the individual server forums and post where I think I can add something, but in the end I will drift back here to see what is happening, mainly because no-one has anything to prove here. It's all just for fun.

I think a few of those spam game threads are fine to have. We have just become inundated with them. Do we really need the "random" AND the "awkward" thread? Do we really need a "ruin a wish" AND a "what would you do if..." thread? About 4-5 or so active threads for joking, nothing posts is fine. We just need to thin down the plethora of games, not necessarily wipe them out.
I say we take this in steps. First let's just get rid of the stupid locked thread everywhere. THEN we'll decide what to do with the stuff.Quote:

I definitely want to keep the Ruin-a-Wish game, because that's the only one that actually allows true creativity.

I think on some threads if we(notice I include myself) didn't spam a thread we bvelieved would be closed by saying things like "in before lock" and actually held a conversation about a topic, It might not be closed.

No, I do not think that the "Say something awkward" thread should still be alive because it's a lot like the "say something random" thread. I liked the "Counting (with a twist)" game because it took some time,a little effort, and sometimes came up with some HILARIOUS pics, but there was still no pressure. Just fun.
Ruin-a-wish is funny and often very creative, as well. And the "rate the sig" thread keeps (or should, but doesn't always) people from making a new topic about their new sig every 10 seconds.
There's just too many similar-ish repeat threads.
But there's no need for locked threads to just sit there on the 1st and 2nd page, cluttering everything up for no reason and no function. Might as well be putting a sticky on them if you're just gonna leave them there.
But that's just what I think.
