MythBusters: Medal Hunting

You've probably heard a lot of rumors concerning medal hunting. I'll dispell most of what you've heard right now

Attacking Valleys

Yes your best option other than buying medals is to attack valleys. But in most medal hunting guides you read about attacking low lvl valleys. Most the time lvls 1 - 5. This is a myth.

While the number of archers they say send are in most reports acurate, getting a medal depends on your server. Not what you send or in another myth; how much losses you have. Your chances are the same with no losses as with almost your whole force being wiped out. This doesn't mean that you won't get a medal attacking low valleys. This just means that the guides aren't what you need to get them because its not the same for every server. On server 107 you have a least 1 in 5 chance of getting a medal on lvl 10 valleys. I've attacked thousands of low lvl valleys and only gotten a few medals while on the higher lvl valleys my 1 in 5 chances are acurate. On server 17 lvl 5 NPCs have good medal drop rates at least 1 in every 3 attacks. Server 24 a lot of lvl 1 valleys have high drop rates server 24 also have high drop rates on low lvl valleys while server 66 has only high rates on lvl 9 and 10 valleys.

So the best way to know your drop rate per server is to ask around about where people got medals from. Don't worry about what medal just focus on what lvl valley was attacked or NPCs. If you notice a higher rate around a certain number often the time it applies to the whole server give or take a lvl. So if you find that there's a lot dropping at lvl 6 forrest then often the time the same applies for hills, flats, etc. And check 1 lvl up and 1 lvl down. So if its lvl 6 check lvl 5 and lvl 7 also.

A SURE FIRE WAY

Run your own test!

You should find 5 lvl 1 flats, grass, etc. and attack them. It seems that the common attack is 1 in every 5. So if you attacked 5 lvl 1 flats and got no medals then the drop rate is low. Then try grassland and so on. This will take a while but when you find the lvl valley, you'll see how worth it it is.

1 in 5 is not emphatic but its a good number to work with. I gaurantee if you try what I just said you will have some success in time.

Lastly,

Just because you find that rose medals or whatever are constant on a particular valley don't think that a cross medal wont show up there. On Server 67 Freedom medals come 1 in every 2 attacks on lvl 10 flats. But that doesn't mean you wont get a speaker. lol! So in other words if you find what medal you're looking for on lvl 5 keep going with the plan and check every lvl attacking 5 times each.

I could be an @ss but I won't, lower lvl valleys produce medals on the older servers but if you're on a newer the guide works perfectly and has screen shots proving it does as well it's testing on S117 by alliance Utopia.

Anyone that reads views this thread please copy that link and read that guide, it actually works, the guide was written for S92 but alliance Utopia used it on S117 and it worked perfectly.

not saying what works on the lower servers are wrong what I am saying is that every server is different. Most guides out gives where to go for medals but its not the case on every server my guide tells you how to look for the drop rate on your server.

And for S92 check at higher valleys you'll get a higher drop rate for lions (lvl 10 flats 1 out of every 2 attacks) almost every lvl 9 hill attack will give you a courage and almost every lvl 10 swamp will give you a wisdom. :cool:

i just never seem to get medals lol.

There is not a lot of info in this guide. It boils down to "attack high level valleys", but you can say a lot more about how to do it. The server 92 guide does this very well for those who have not seen it.

I have a question... Wth does mythbusters have to do with this?

The guide tells you how to find out what lvl valleys on your server has the highest drop rate. The thing is that each server will have to write thier own. In order to do that trial and error must occur this is how to perform the trial.

Only because you see many guides that tell you low lvl valleys. I just wanted people to know that thats not always the case. That it all depends on your server.:cool:

I happen to think he picked an awesome title for the thread and I assure you I'm not disagreeing with you based simply on the raw burning hatred I have for every mod on this forum.
