lol im hoping they remove npcs and dont fix the food thing.. that way the game gets played as originally intended.. with 100-140k troops or so being the most anyone can feed

i think the npc's should stay and just be tweaked.
I agree and I suggested they cap troops like they do wall defenses. Have it based on number of and level of barracks. 10,000 troops per baracks lvl. A city with 14 lvl 10 barracks would be able to hold 140,000 troops.
I find it crazy that the description from a barbarian city states that driving barbarian cities out is the responsibility of every lord yet almost all of spends time making as many barbarian cities as we can!
BTW...if someone could confirm that age II is going to change farming I would love to see it. I'm totally sick of farming! I'm going on holiday mode for a few days to get a break for real life stuff and decide if I still want to put the time in that's needed to play. If I could get confirmation farming is changing then I may stick around for Age II if it is released soon enough.
Without NPCs, mechanics(besides transports) become worthless.
Ballista- Who wants this, food consuming monstrosity when you could have 4 of the much better, less eating archers for around the same food cost.
Rams- Considering you need a great amount of these to do anything (for offense, and defense), and they eat 100 food...No. I can't imagine having any use for these.
Pults- 250food per an hour? 40 of these is 10k an hour. 400 is 100k. There is no way anyone could use these effectively anymore.
Unless they DRASTICALLY improve either
1) What farms can do
2) Make lakes something outrageous like 50-100% increase
or
3) Decrease the food needed for the mechanics/all troops in general
I cannot see why anyone would keep more than one of these.
I think some of you are missing the real point of npcs. This also ties into the fact that the newer servers have less flats and more valleys. Evony does not want you to play in the same server month after month. This costs them money and really there is no reason to buy cents on older servers. They make money when you play for a few weeks and then quit because of food intake and then move to a newer server to start all over again. The entire game is built this way. I would say a huge majority of players on each new server are vets who left mostly because farming is not fun in a war game.

I dont like it when a server gets to the point where you have to be online all day to farm to stay alive.
I would much prefer it if they tweaked the game so that troops take LESS time to build (Hear me out), but you cant have stupidly large armys. This way there would still be alot of fighting but you wouldnt have to devote your life to the game.
