Different places, words tend to have a different meaning, I could call someone gay where I live and they would know I didn't mean homosexual.
Just like if you call someone a retard here, it doesn't neccessarily mean mentally retarded.
I can understand your offense though, from my point of view it will remain funny.

This isn't a discussion thread on the usage of words and why we're insulted by them. If you find a post offensive, report it. Otherwise, keep away from derailing the thread.
