Thread: Players informed of merges 1-2 weeks ahead of time???????????????

    Lazz, once again these threads are used to complain, whine, beg, threaten; demand, wish, cry, hug, yell, be rational, be irrational- Make bad jokes, whisper sweet nothings (Smokey Bear is very soft)... It is what it is.


    You telling everyone to just stop complaining and get over things such as the server merger does not really help the situation. I(and hopefully the Admins) would probably rather have people in here complaining about things then have them throw up their hands and quit.

    The server merge was ill timed, and people are still miffed about it. I am still miffed that they got rid of Zima.

    As I have stated, this is about conflicting information. It applies to *all* past server merges, and likely to future server merges.

    The conflicting information is that customers involved in server merges do not get 1-2 weeks notice of that event happening, not even "sometimes", much less "typically".

    I am giving the benefit of the doubt to the employees even. I am stating that if that is what they are told, then that is not how it is working out in reality.

    I am a fair person, when I am treated fairly (and even beyond that really). I'm offering a plausible explanation for why there is a disconnect between employees and customers. Employees think "can't be that bad" / "no harm done", when they are thinking it is one way (the way they've been told), but it isn't. I am even stating that I could understand not being too generous with customers if you are being told that 7-14 days warning is given. At some time you have to say "we gave you enough warning". 1-2 weeks would be "enough", but customers don't "typically" receive that amount of warning.

    The reality is that 7-14 days warning is not "typically" given, so the purpose of this thread is to correct that conflict of information.

    I for one think that a 2-3 day warning is enough. Like it or not Evony can do as they wish, and we like stupid little lemmings will blindly follow. Lazz is right when in a previous post she said that if we hate evony so much then we should just quit. The answer is a bit more nuanced then that.

    This game has become as much of a social site as a war game for many people. That happens when you are able to build friendships with people all over the world. people go online not to prepare for war but to chat and have a bit of fun. Since Evony has made it clear that they are not changing any of the frustrations in here until the magical AgeII (Which by all accounts looks like Fabio wearing a nice Turtleneck, it is that Awesome)


    Do we mostly wish that Neko would drop it; yeah kind of. But you have to figure sometimes these rants and always rehashing past events may cause someone to bring up a topic in this conversation that may lead to some actual discussion and something positive. It took a huge amount of harping about issues to have Dawnseeker write out a well composed 7 paragraph explanation of things.

    But in the end we all have to accept that Evony will only do things when it is in their interest to do it; that FoxyBunny looks great when she wields the BanHammer at anyone except me- and that we continue to play because we love the game and that when we do get tired of it and leave, that Evony really can care less about it.

    The point is that what is claimed by an employee differs from reality. If you support employees saying things that differ from how things actually happen, and actively attack someone for pointing out that the facts need to be the facts, that the message from the employees needs to be what actually does happen rather than what is alleged to happen, then I don't know what to say...
