I'm not going to bother reading the other replies. My view on this issue, in bulletpoint form:

- I don't see why there would be a problem with taking DNA at birth. It could be used as a sort of identification like Social Security. Not sure what we'd do in the case of twins, though.

- HOWEVER, I think it would be a bad idea to use DNA to predetermine the probability of someone committing a crime. This will lead to a biased investigation in a crime.

- Cameras are okay, so long as they are in public places only and not in private residences. If a business wants to use cameras, okay. However, the government should not force a business owner to install a camera on private property if they do not want to.

- Tracking chips -> Big Brother knowing where you are and what you are doing at any given moment -> 1984
