I am relatively new to this game (have been playing for about 10 days now and have about 100k prestige). anyway Im wondering when it would be a good time to start getting a second city, a third, and so on... also where should you build your additional cities? near your main? or spread out over the map? Should I maybe wait until I get into an alliance or?? Soo yea any help would be appreciated.. thx

The days after you get your second city are probably when you're at your most vulnerable......it means that if someone sees you have two, they can and will attack the first, more developed city, and if they take it, all you'll be left with is a grotty second city that you've only just started....it's like day one all over agaon, but without the benefit of having BP

As above, make sure you have enough of an army to defend the first city while you get the second up to standard, and I'd most certainly recommend joining an alliance- if they're any good, they can help you with resources and if necessary, reinforce you so you don't get driven back into the stone ages by losing your first city.

For the above reasons, I'd also recommend making your second city a screen or so away from your first, so that it's not obvious to the predators that it's a second....there are a good few people in game who see it as good fun to take someone's first city as soon as they start a second, usually knowing that it will drive a player out of game because at that stage, it feels like such a loss

PS If you join a decent alliance and spend some time getting to know them on alliance chat, there's a fair chance that they'll capture a mid-high range city for you to have as your second city , rather than you having to start from an empty compound situation.

Have a read in the relevant forum of the server you're on......that may give you a clue as to which alliance you may want to apply to, although the biggies probably won't want a relative newb until later.....most have a training alliance though that may well take you on and help you develop.

Finally, if you do go for a second city and your first starts getting attacked, particularly if it's by waves (several/many attacks timed to land closely together) I'd seriously abandon your small, undeveloped second city rather quickly......don't ever get too attached to them or it will hurt when you lose one, which you will at some point.
