Thread: Betrayed by my Alliance!

    Default Betrayed by my Alliance!

Is it wrong for an alliance to get a new player to join them, move them to Romagna, land the player in the middle of a war zone, then refuse to help defend or counter when several players in the area are attacked daily?

Is 34 miles too far away to help someone?? Is 15 days enough time to set up some kind of counter effort?

I would like to join an alliance with plans for such things as well as one with active and experienced officers. My old alliance booted me out for insisting they do something to counter he daily attacks. They attacked once - then saw the power of their enemy and went back into hiding.

I moved to Romagna like they asked. I moved away from an enemy on their advice. Their advice to me was to move again. I objected and said they should give us a plan for defense and counter. That is all it took for them to kick me out.

Does this seem like standard practice? Any comments are apprecieated. I will tell anyone who asks which alliance did this to me. I am a very active player with 169K prestiege after 4 weeks of play.

I emailed you some of the details - after that experience I think I will do just as well on my own with no alliance.

Sounds like the enemies are better co-ordinated so why not join them, build up and go after the alliance that left you for dead?

    Prestige:
    1) Those who NEED to know already know.
    2) Those who don't know but want to know can look me up.
    3) Those not on my server but want to know (no idea why) can start an account on ss21 to find out.

HONOR: Currently increasing from attacking in ss21. Ready scouts? ATTACK!

You know - I was made an offer to join the enemy. I was persuaded by members to stay with this alliance and see if things get any better. 2 weeks later there was still no response or plan to counter the daily attacks. Their only advice was to move. One officer told me he would not attack anyone until he was discovered and attacked himself. So much apathy for helping the new members.

I stayed - they kicked me out - NOW I face Paradox alone and broke. They really screwed me. I think they use new members for enemy fodder while they build their own cities up very nicely.

I've seen similar happen in my own alliance. Without knowing the full story there is no way I would judge either you or your old alliance. We have had new members join our alliance from areas far away from our home city even though we make it clear they need to move. Then they get attacked and we have no way to defend. When they do move they are so beat up that it is a waste of time and troops to reinforce. In some cases we've had members instigate fights with larger alliance/players and then would ask others to bail them out. We had very specific Rules of Engagement and if you violated those rule you could be kicked and certainly no one was obligated to help you. Then there are also people in an alliance that you don't even know. They don't chat, they don't help anyone else and the first time you hear anything from them is when they are being attacked and want help.

I'm not saying you didn't deserve to be helped. I'm just saying there are cases where your alliance members should not feel obligated help.

Also, I can say the alliances I have been in have for the most part been unorganized and "clickie", but effective. I can only assume this is fairly typical in Evony. I've often said that the alliance that can organize itself will have a huge advantage over the others on that server.

    Default Get em!

All is far in love and war. I would join the attacking alliance, beg to join if I had to. But go with a plan to dismantal the old alliance, by now you should know something about them.
If you like my post give me some rep. I am not such a bad guy for an Ahole...

I moved to Romagna to join them, then had to move again in defense. Third time I decided to stand my ground. Other players were driven out of the same area not only me. I asked for a plan and 10 days later - still no plan. Rules of engagement? Unheard of in my old alliance. Their leaders are content to throw noobs on the line as fodder while they build up their own cities. It was BS! (in my opinion)

Like others have said...Join a hostile alliance and use your knowledge to beat them down.

I am looking for an alliance right now - it's hard to know who to go with. I thought I was with a decent group the first time.
