I just thought of a new spy tactic.
I doubt that I'm truly the first person to think of this tactic, but I have not seen it discussed in any threads.
There are many threads complaining about the solo scout attack being used to create a report so spies can send the link to their home alliance. It's annoying and people are always trying to come up with solutions to stop this tactic. I do not like spies. I do not condone spies. If I'm in a position in the alliance to sway the decisions of the leadership, I will dissuade the use of any spies. But, as long as they still exist, it opens the opportunity for another tactic.
First, do not use a spy, you don't need them. If you have an enemy alliance that is causing trouble, then send token solo scout attacks. Send them to a large variety of target locations, and send them often. The enemy alliance should be getting wary now. Send more attacks. The enemy will begin trying to root out the spy (which does not exist). Send more attacks. The enemy will begin kicking people for the smallest reasons if they are even slightly suspect. Send more attacks. The enemy leaders will be going nuts trying to find the spy. You will create such a fuss inside the enemy alliance.
It's shady, but it's not actual spying. And it could lead to some very humorous outcomes.![]()
