I'm sorry to be the one to ask this...... But do you know anything?
1) The analogy of random screaming and playing of the guitar.
Metal on guitar is one of the hardest things to play by far, try playing a chromatic sweep at 270bpm. Not random in the slightest, it all follows strict musical theory, advanced chord and scale patterns. Couple this with the technique needed for such things and you'll find it to be far less random than you may think. Also, the 'screaming' is in fact not screaming. It is harsh vocals. A very difficult technique to learn, the difference here is;
Screaming - Extremely loud, do serious damage to your vocal chords, probably never talk again after recording a single album.
Harsh vocals - Sound emanating from the guttural region, much quieter than a scream. Hardly any damage to yourself, and extremely hard to do.
2) Pointless, without meaning, death, loneliness and darkness.
A very select few metal songs are about the aforementioned subjects. Do a little research before making a statement like this. As every person on these forums with an open mind will tell you, you have no clue. If you'd like to talk about pointless music, I shall give you one example. A song by Rihanna about a sodding umbrella. Compare this against Virgin Steele's song 'The Final Days' an in depth song about the decay of western youth. Now tell me which is pointless?
3) Nothing to connect or relate to, nothing that actually MEANS anything to a person.#

I guess no-one can relate to any of these things huh? I guess none of these can offer any inspirational thoughts.
Game, set, match.
