Men love war because it allows them to look serious. Because it is the one thing that stops women from laughing at them.

Avatar was only good in how it looked. You look past that, and its crap.
    In my opinion,
I know movies made from books have to take shortcuts and change things, but come on. I had to watch this movie for an English project, and oh god. It made me cry how bad this piece of crap destroyed what is a good book. This is assuming, of course, you read the book before the movie(then you would be outraged while reading the book).

    Not really.
It made records of dollar values only because of inflation. But, it is not even close to the best selling movie ever. Noone has ever mildly threatened the number of tickets sold by Gone With The Wind.

Top Ticket's sold for movies as of 2002.

1 Gone with the Wind 283,100,000
2 Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs 225,300,000
    3 Star Wars Fox 176,900,000
    4 E.T. 158,000,000
    5 101 Dalmatians 143,100,000
    6 Bambi 140,800,000
    7 Titanic 130,900,000
    8 Jaws Universal 128,600,000
9 The Sound of Music 119,300,000
    10 The Ten Commandments 117,800,000

edit: I did some research, and Avatar is currently 16 on the best-selling list adjusted for inflation. It's not even halfway to Gone With The Wind's numbers. It's real close to passing "The Sting," though.
