Well, I'm a fairly new player. I would like to know much more about the advanced combat mechanics than i have found in the stickied threads. And i do know that there are people out there who know more, from the posts I've been reading.

It would be great if some of the more experienced players could work together, to get all of this information into one spot.

If not, and i know that would be alot of work, i do have several questions which maybe you could answer.

1. Do archers get a range bonus from walls, or is that just AT's? The archers do move forward with the army, instead of standing on the walls right?

2. I know that Archers will not move if targets are in range, so that they can shoot. If targets are NOT in range, the archers will move forward. My question here is:after moving, but in the same round, will the archers shoot if targets come into range?

I ask this because I know that Cavalry can move and then attack in the same turn. Is it like this for all melee units, Only HBR units, or Ranged units as well?

3. Whats up with the huge battering ram range??? 600 range for a log? LOL

4. Starting range if there are traps/abatis i have read is 5000 or 5200. seems to be conflicting information here, what is it?

5. What are the exact targets of the various troop types. I believe that Archers target AT's, then other archers, then whatever melee troop is closest. where do siege weapons come into this order?

6. What do the siege weapons target?

I have more questions, just cant remember them all right now.

Any help would be appreciated,
Naem

PS. To DarkBrady, Birches, DCjerboa (sorry if i spelt your names wrong) you guys are my heroes, you're getting rep now that I've finally made an account :P
And thanks to many others that share their knowledge about the game.

And, if there already is a detailed guide going over this, I'll be embarrassed, but would appreciate the link :P

And sorry for the long, badly organized post.
