Default SS4 Biggest Idiot or Smartest Player(s)?

I can't decide if this is the most idiotic thing I've ever seen or if it's someone being brilliant...

This is just a 7x15 mile area of the map on SS4:

Is this guy/gal just making a huge NPC field? Or are they really that stupid? Or is this just some cruel joke? Lost on me...

Well if the cities can produce enough food to feed small armies, then that many cities so close can reinforce quickly. Even if the cities each just have 100k troops, they can reinforce up to a quantity of millions very fast. There would be no need to farm NPC's if they produced enough food to feed the troops(or enough lumber/iron to sell for food from the market). This reinforcement strategy would also require a highly active group of people who are online almost all the time.

You are correct BUT! don't forget you can only reinforce 1million troops at a time and easy would it be to just feint attack one or two and pound another lol real easy to do.

One theory is that they are camoflaging their main city.. Either way you could really never produce the resources necessary to support any type of attacking army. Just imagine 9 or 10 valleys per city up there.

Well they can only reinforce 1 million troops from other players in the alliance. The player could send another million to their own city without using up embassy slots.

dude, there is no way that would work though. IF each player had 10 lakes and 37 level farms, and a decent poli hero, then you could hold up to 1.2 million food of troops in each city which is pathetic really since this is a "super server".

Given the above statement, how would you gain the other resources necessary to train said army??? and how would you not get bored just sitting there. Thinking you could ever attack with (possibly) 12million food worth of troops and still having a viable defense is laughable.

Not to mention the fact that I could port one city up there and play around with cities and watch them send their troops around lol

Seen some of that on SS3 today, i personally think it's idiotic. if he's offline w/ only small armies in those castles and he gets hit hes swimming upstream. And he could never have enough npcs to feed all of those with decent size armies.

I'm just completely anti hub of any form

oh my lol didn't even see ur post earlier :P Yeah me too I spread my cities 10 to 20 miles apart. The farther apart you are, the more targets there are

They don't have to produce food in any of the cities. They could produce all iron/lumber, and just sell off what they don't build troops with for food. I'm just trying to come up with a conceivable strategy to explain the pic, I'm not trying to advocate this silly strategy.

Yeah I hear ya, I'm just baffled lol doing the same thing you are. Okay so I just checked, each of those cities is a different player all in the same alliance. Not one of them is up to 1million prestige.

The best reason I've heard brought up is that is one person, (not accusing, just thinking) They put all those cities there to mask their "main city". To do this that player would have to have cut a ton of prestige, though. You would literally have to scout every one of those cities to find the main city.

There are 45 cities, there is no way you could get 450 valleys and keep them. LOL I'm just confused.

Having a city of every player at a central hub makes transporting and reinforcing faster and easier. The cities don't really have to be self sufficient if each player only has one or two in the hub. They can easily support a city or two each with the excess from the others throughout the zone. I know that even if I had two cities that produced absolutely nothing, my other 6 cities could support them easily.
