Default Guide to getting attacked (The Defensive)

First of all, this guide helps when You get attacked. Not your whole alliance. Although it could be used for a whole alliance with modification and time.

Ok, this guide will show you what to do when your city/cities get hit.

    Things you want to do;

    1. Close your gate (can be done in rally spot)
    2. Send all your troops except archers, balista, catapult, rams to an alliance member/flat.
    3. Set tax rate and production to 0 or minimum positive production rate and Disaster Relief Every 15 minutes.
    4. As a last resort, abandon your least city that is being attacked. (Last Resort Only)
    5. Get your alliance to reinforce you.

When a disaster happens you always want to be prepared. You need to use all your resources to que troops and defenses. The less the attacker can take the better. Sometimes you may not be able to take the attacker, your alliance member('s) might. Always get help from your alliance, they will/should help. The last thing you want is a war with the attackers alliance.

    1. Think...what did you do to make them attack you? If you have an answer, try resolving the problem and making peace.

    2. #1. didn't work? It might be time to go to war.

    3. The attacker might stop...if so wait and he might be delaying the attack or might give up.

The chances of you getting attacked at one point while playing are pretty good. You always prepare for it. Avoid the steps listed at the beginning if you are 100% sure you can take the attacker. Sometimes a war might be started because you took the valley he wanted. It's happened to me. Follow these steps and repeat as needed and eventually you will defeat, scare, intimidate, or stop the attacker.

When you think it is O.K. to do it, change everything to normal.

If you don't have enough gold, ship gold to your city using scouts, as soon as you have the gold, pray.

You'll never lose your city as long as you don't log out.

If you are going to lose it, give the city to someone who will fight back.

    1. Never close your gates unless yo're a, 100% sure that you can't defeat the oncoming wave AND b, your troops losses would be especially significant AND there's reinforcements enroute. In 9 times out of 10 you want your gates open to kill as many of the attackers troops as possible.

2, If you have troops use them to fight! Doh.

3, Good suggestion, especially if PG is high.

4, The very very last resort. Remember you can always truce/teleport. Also, while you're online, unless your opponent is one tile away spamming you with attacks, it will be very hard for them to take your city. Just follow step 3 until reinforcements arrive.

Are you advising people not to fight back? I think you should edit this and only follow these rules if you are being attacked by something that you cannot handle without reinforcements.

Fixed it. This guide is for those who can't defend.

Well... you CAN abandon.. its not recommended, but if you do, and you happen to be on a lvl 10 flat..... Bye bye enemy.

Also, instead of using praying, I suggest you use Disaster Relief since it lowers the amount of PG you have. Even though most of you think higher loyalty is better, its not. You do praying, it makes it sooo much easier for the enemy to get you too 100 PG.

^^^ = yes. Abandonment is a last resort though. If your going to lose the city anyway, why let the attacker have it?

This Is a good guild, it well help out some people.. but praying is always better

if you know the attacks are coming..

right when the first attack hits pray.. why? On one attack max Loyalty down rate is 5 as well as disaster relief. In praying loyalty goes up by 5 and disaster relief down by 5. You can do this ever 15 minutes. So your good if your there while the attacks are happening.

    Ummm...
Praying: Loyalty goes up by 25 and PG goes down by 5. NOT HELPFUL
Disaster Relief: Loyalty goes up by 5 and PG goes down by 15. HELPFUL

I'd rather have medium loyalty and no PG for attacks rather than high loyalty and maxed PG.

However, smart people do a bit of both. 1 Disaster Relief, 1 Praying, 1 Disaster Relief, and so on.
