Calling All Woodwind Musicians
Alright, I was in need of someone's opinion. Here's the issue, I have an alto saxophone that is in need of repair. Phil, the repairman, tells me that it the following is wrong: six pads need to be re-done, there's a leak or two near the key holes and this is going to require him to order some new pieces and metal work. In conclusion, the estimate is about a hundred and fifty dollars.
I have to Montreal in April and practice Monday through Friday with the band for forty five minutes to an hour. I also practice on my own. Now, I obviously need the work to be done, but is this a decent price considering everything that has to be done?
I have a Vito made by KBZ over in Taiwan, but if one didn't know better it looks like a Leblanc Vito. So tell me, any thoughts?
