    seriously?

you need transporters because they are supposed to mimic life. the longer the march the more food you will need. they have a set load amount they can each carry. so when the distance outweighs what food they can carry then you need transports. if they don't have enough food to make the trip then, like in real life, they will starve to death. so the game doesn't allow you to kill your troops by starvation.

if they are too far then make a war city and teleport to them.

I cant honestly see how the game is supposed to mimic life when you can teleport your city. Or is it supposed to mimic life unles you are willing to play with cash? Thats a different debate altogether though.

You are absolutely right. Instead of getting into the whole "mimic life" idea (and yes you can get transporters even without cash - whoohoo!) lets focus on the way the system works.

The further away you are, the more resources you will need to bring with you just to survive the trip. Each different troop carries different ammounts, and the farther away your target, the more they have to be able to carry so they don't "starve to death". Hence transporters are useful for two things: Helping carry larger loads for big trips, and carrying back more resources from plundering close by.

Sometimes you CAN be too far away from a target to hit them with any kind of force. Which I understand and yet also hate

That's when conquering something half-way is useful.

    Compliments of the wonderful Warsimi!
