i understand a lot of ppl said they will eventually blind attack the city which is ported. Yup the first idea isnt as good as the second, but they're ideas pledging one city isnt much to ask maybe if your at the title knight it is but at baron + it isnt 2 much 2 be bothered about and anyway it works for the alliance's benefit since he can rein from their, so noone else has to . Also like it says near the end of the second idea you can have your host port into the enemy homeland keeping them occupied. so in the end it can work to your advantage and isnt just another liability.
That's why I continued with saying that you could more easily use an existing city that presumably has those wall defenses. Why go through the trouble of capping a lvl10 and then spend another week building up your AT?

It's sound concept, most people won't attack if they can't get a report, though this depends on the reputation of the player/alliance in question. But with 1m scouts in the city the cost of scouting is so prohibitive, sending 100k arch doesn't compare. Its harder to make 1m scouts than 100k archers. And if there's significant layers/no troops I *will* most likely get a report on my archer clearout wave if I time it correctly or the person is offline. I will send in a wave designed to kill most layering troops, fully expecting to lose. If I'm lucky, I will get a report, if not I have at least killed off some of their defense and shed some honor. I will have my archers back in a couple of hours.

I'm a princessin with 9/10 cities. I would not regularly feed my host from my cities. Not because I can't afford to, but because I don't think it's a good idea. I queue troops with my best hero all the time I'm online, and leave as many in queue as I can before I go to sleep. So does the rest of my alliance. I could not respect someone who's unable to do this as a host.

It might seem like a good idea early on. It might work on a smaller scale (I killed off my army, let me TEMPORARILY feed yours before I rebuild). But an alliance needs a good number of veteran players and another dozens of those that can hold their own. People can use those same resources to make their own armies, and in the end it will make them stronger as an alliance - they can supply and reinforce, and defend themselves and each other. Otherwise if the host is in any way, shape or form incapacitated (or quits/joins another alliance), your alliance is basically screwed.
