Okay, I have seen just about ALL the threads posted about account suspensions, and this is not about being banned, rather some of the policies that need tweaking. I don't intend to come here and rant about being locked out, having friends locked out, or how this is the wrong type of punishment for "cheaters", I think the rest of the Evony community has made their disgust over this whole matter abundantly clear.

With that being said, I can move on to my intended topics.

First of all, I would like to invite any level-headed, reasonable, and informed Evony representative or forum moderator to join in this discussion, and hopefully we can use this thread to constructively discuss some of my concerns. I do not want to be "handled" (as I've seen other members be treated by certain Evony Reps), if you come into this thread and intend to post, please do not do so unless you can leave you God-Complex at the door, and come into the discussion as a level headed peer. This means Evony representatives, Moderators, and my fellow members of the Evony community. I feel that this would best serve everybody involved.

Now, I need to say that I strongly disagree with your policy regarding multiple users on the same network. I fully undersatand the need to keep users from having multiple personal accounts, I think the need for this is pretty self-explanatory, but what about users who have families that play on the same server? I play, and I have one account. Well, admittedly, I have 2 accounts on the same server, but since I learned that it is against policy, I have not logged into my other, for lack of a better way to rid myself of it, so I have one account on my server. My wife also has one account on the same server. I got her into playing by getting her into my alliance early on, this made the game more fun for both of us. We both operate separately, we both are paying accounts, and we both engage in battles with our alliance. Now, what is the problem with this? I cannot understand the logic in keeping family members from enjoying this game together.

Also, I cannot send my wife resources to help her build, but, theoretically, I could send another alliance member resources, and they could send them to her, could they not? Same goes with reinforcements. One alliance member could reinforce her, and I could make up for that by reinforcing them. The logic is simply flawed. As I see it, there is no difference between sending player x resources, or sending my wife resources. On this same note, what about families where parents have younger kids playing. Can a father not send his son some resources to help him out? Can a father not reinforce his son if his city is being attacked?

Add to these examples, friends playing together at a Starbucks, LAN parties, I know two sisters who regularly meet up at each others houses for coffee and evony.

If my alliance is attacking a target, or if one of our members is being attacked, is it fair that only I can attack or reinforce, and not my wife? Is it fair that one of us ALWAYS has to sit it out? We are both paying accounts, and we play on the same network from separate computers. Why should we continue to be a paying to use both accounts if only one of us can ever do anything with them?

I know it is not an easy thing to separate, cheaters with multiple accounts, and families who legitimately use one account per person on the same server, but that is kind of the point of this thread. I would like to get a constructive discussion started, and maybe we could come up with some good ideas to pass on to the Evony team.

I will end this by saying that I do know many people that have been suspended due to botting, and I think it is their own fault. These people know better. It sucks, but it is what it is. I also know a GREAT number of players who were suspended for having multiple accounts, or simply for sitting another players account, and I think that is just wrong. Could Evony not send a system mail to the suspected accounts and say, "Hey, we see you are working multiple accounts. Breifly explain your situation for our review, or we will suspend your account. You have X amount of days to reply."? I also think it is funny how it says in the TOS that you must give Evony advanced notice if you are going to be sitting a friends account. I can't remember the last time Evony actually responded to any mail I sent, on any server, and for any subject I may have sent it for. If there were a more reliable way of contacting Evony about such matters, I'm sure this would not be an issue. Perhaps the Devs could insert a new player status next to peacetime, truce, holiday, that could be called "Sitting". The status could allow nothing but farming and defensive maneuvers in the case of attack from enemies, but it could prohibit reinforcements from the "sitting" players account.

Greater care needs to be taken in these server-wide sweeps to ensure that only the ones who need to be suspended are the only ones that actually get suspended. This is one man's opinion on the matter, and I pray that it can open up some kind of discussion that will help us all.
