Not if they got rid of the multi-accounts, then they'd only have ~100k to deal with {:-)

I guess I'm trying to say that if they can sift through 11 million players to do a full sweep of suspensions, couldn't they sift through 11 million players and send a mail asking for an explanation, or at least a courtesy mail saying that if you don't stop doing this and this that we suspect you of, we will suspend you?

That would require them to do SOMETHING, with the "fake sweeps" it requires very little effort or time on their part and they feel as though "lip service" will keep the masses of players feeling as though the game is uncheatable when in reality its the MOST EASILY CHEATED of games.

    A word on "multi-account users"...

There is a large amount of time involved managing just one account correctly, I have 1 account, and do account sit occasionally for other members who get hit with what we call "Real life". It kills me to 'account sit' when I have to, it takes me more time than I already have to farm and take care of my 1 account, but I do this because I understand it's neccessary for everyone at one time or another to have help, if they play often enough and have troops. I know a few people who manage more than 1 account, they are paying account users who take Evony and the game seriously. I don't consider multi-accounting cheating, if someone has the time to do it and maintain both accounts then bravo and kudos to them. "B#tting" is cheating -you're running a program to do it for you and taking the man hours out of it.

Several months ago, myself and a few friends started a gaming group where we get together and play at each other's homes - it's not always Evony, sometimes NapWars or xbox or whathave you. I also log in on some of their computers when I don't have my laptop with me - I haven't been banned yet, the sweep hasn't affected me, but we've all said that the day we are we will quit as there are so many other issues as well that go far beyond just the game. If you're wondering what these are, a simple google search should satisfy your curiosity, don't want to get "handled" here.

It just boggles my mind that Evony would want to ban people for figuring out ways to spend more money and more time on here....oh no, they run 2 accounts? Really? They're starting gaming groups and using each other's computers to log into Evony??? They're account sitting to do stuff in real life so they can still play the game when they get back from their dead grandmother's funeral??? Dad, Mom, Brother, and Sister all have accounts with Evony and some of them pay us money??? Oh, no...we gotta stop this...

I suggest people sit down and brain storm how each of these affect other players playing the game, and what aspects of this aren't "fair for everyone". The most common complaint I'm hearing is about reinforcements and farming...so start another account, or "buddy up" with someone in your alliance. This is a strategy game, and the strategy options are open to all...what isn't open to all is paying for an account - this does give someone a decidedly unfair advantage in terms of advancement. Also, having food consumed while you are at work, etc...if you can't use a "work computer/account" to log in and farm during break, the idiot on the couch at home collecting unemployment has a decidedly "unfair" advantage...and it gets expensive to pay for holiday everytime you need to take off and go to work/school/grandma's house/the bar for the weekend.

The big reason why people are investing so much time and money into playing this game is because they are trying to figure out how to keep their stuff when they're not here - well, and I'm sure the botters are botting for farming, because I know I can hardly keep up with 7 cities at neg 8 mil food per hour - and I know people that are at negative 20 mil or more an hour (one guy rumored to have neg. 50 mil per hour) - but it's the problem/solution plague that's got me passing off my account for the night and working out deals with alliance members to trade farming for a night away from my computer.

So yes, "Multi accounting" is the last thing I'd ever want to start doing, then I'd have to find more people to farm for me and spend more money on another account when I don't even have time for the 1 24 hours a day 7 days per week...which is just about what it takes to run/maintain a top alliance or be a top member on a server, believe me. Evony isn't a part time job, it's mostly full-time - but it's been that way since I started playing and since it's inception, the food makes it that way - so it's not the players making the game unfair for other players, it's a design foul.

    Red face

I have been reading on this forum for the last 2-3 days about all the botting and the strict rules that seem to be reinforced suddenly. I would like to say a few things first: in fairness to Evony, i personally was banned for 3 days back in Feb. for botting. I do not leave this computer for at least 16-17 hours a day, as I am disabled and retired. The computer sits in front of my TV and I basically watch TV all day. I use the *** as a macro, to make it simpilier to launch all these NPCs to feed my army. After launching I watch the screen and wait for them to come back, and do it all over again. So, that tells me that no, you will not be banned if you botted before, and didnt *** since then. Cuz I wasnt banned this time around. Now, about multiple accounts, my wife and i play together. we have 2 computers in the house, she plays on one and i on the other. she has not been banned either. i do not log into her account so with all this said, now I am going to bring some valid points.
On the server I am on, I am considered one of the top hitters. I have chosen to take the point of view to beat on the bullies. Those who beat on others with low prestige. Now I want to say this to Evony, I have spent a lot of money to wage the war that I am waging. I have turned in a ton of ppl who are using multiples, and evony has done nothing about it. I have turned in ppl who use **** with screen shots to prove it. Again, evony does nothing. I have turned in ppl for taking over accounts, again Evony does nothing. So my conclusion is that it is all about the money. Alot of the people in the top three alliances were banned for botting and because they have the same issue with food as alot of do they enjoyed being banned as they got a life for three days and they even sent mail saying this.. If evony wants to fix the multiple account and botting prooblem then they need to make food more accesible. This is the reason ppl make feeder accounts. These accountts feed the bigger players so they dont have to be online 24-7. I am personally farming at least 10 hrs a aday to feed my army. I know others have just given up as I am about to do. Which means Evony will lose one more paying player. I have already looked at Evony2 and seen the ammount of money required to play it. I wont be playing it, as I have given Evony1 enough of my money. Thank you all for listening to me rant. Feel you all are talking to the wind cuz Evony will do nothing as long as the money keeps coming in.

Yeah but Robin, b0tting is clearly against Evony terms of service, that part of it wasn't sudden, it may even be in there about multi-accounting or whatever, but two people (husband/wife or brother/sister - roommates, etc) living together in the same house sharing a connection is normal, not "cheating". Friends getting together to play is normal, and there isn't another game on this planet that bans people for that, most welcome family members and current members bringing more people in to play the game. I do strangely have a dad, 3 sons and a daughter in law in my alliance and none of them have been tagged that I have heard about yet, then again it's early.

I just lost 4 alliance members today due to this same thing, and one to btting. don't much care about the btting guy, but the other 4 were like family to me. One guy's girlfriend had her account banned, and they were clearly two separate people - paid with 2 separate credit cards and lived in two separate homes. It's normal for them to get together and play - why one account and not the other, though? and disabled without a warning, even? Come on, get a grip. I'm sure Evony will be hearing from them, thanks to some other posters here on the forums they at least know how to get the girl's $250 bones back from the credit card she used.
