Theodore Roosevelt had the best policy. Although Washington was a great president, I think that Teddy was a much better version of him.
"Speak softly but carry a big stick" was his policy, both domestic and foreign. Also, he was honest, and was wise enough to decline his campaign for a third presidential campaign although asked by many to do so.
He was one of the best Presidents this nation could possibly produce. He had experience in many things from war to law to politics (having taken law, been a politician AND a soldier, fighting in the Spanish-American War eith his "Rough Riders.")
He was as honest a President as I could hope for, and now you have me hoping a clone of his serves as our President one of these days.
If only our latest presidents acted that way CONSISTENTLY, we would be a far more prosperous nation today.
