Ok I have shared my opinion and respectfully heard yours.
On a final note, am I allowed to go to work and log in there or is that an offense?

I see both sides of this, it is helpful for people to look after you while your sleeping, it's an unfair advantage that you can take EVERYTHING from someone while they sleep....but it's unfair to be able to never be attacked either, if you need sleep call a truce simple as that, or make sure your well enough defended they can't take you out. Those people that have become such good evony friends should be able to reinforce you just the same, and thus save your city. You can say your all great friends but you don't really know that person, they can lie to gain your trust just as easy as they can tell the truth....just my 2 cents anyway
Imagine you are ready to attack someone- all prepped up. You made little mental notes of when he is online. You start your waves of attack, and then suddenly you get the little Icon that he is in truce. Then you get a mocking email from his account
"Hey, this is his buddy. We watch eachothers accounts so that way NO ONE CAN ATTACK US!. HA HA HA HA."
The joy of the game is working on "Strategery" by maybe making them think you are offline and this and that. But when you are on the game for 8 hours, then tag your buddy in to watch it, it breaks the Spirit of the game.
Now; if he is in an alliance and someone watches war reports and organizes a massive response to help him, that is one thing. To throw your hands up and cry and say Evony has to get rid of Alliances is foolish and sophomoric. There is a huge difference between you clearing all the wall defenses and then let an enemy alliance fill up the town with troops in order to kill them all- as opposed to someone logging into his account in order to keep building piddly wall defenses to cause you total loss.
It is time that people realize that just because you built an awesome city, you can be attacked. If you do not like the fear of getting attacked then use truces when you leave- or go play another freaking game. My Little Pony Grand Theft Auto is about to be released, there you can be Sparkly, violent, and you can save the game when your mom says it is your bed time.
every online game in the existence of ever does not allow someone to be attacked while offline.Exactly.
The single greatest strategy in the game is to attack when the enemy is offline. If you remove that as a viable strategy, then that's a massive advantage. If everyone who plays fair has to be offline while they sleep and work, then removing that factor from your alliance mates by account sharing qualifies as an "unfair advantage."
i'd much prefer my target to be online, watching me completely dismantling their cities and totally unable to do anything about it but truce or port. it's a heck of a lot more fulfilling then running a few numbers and sending waves at an opponent that may as well be produce.
i'm not promoting account sharing; simply saying that your opponent offline is an advantage in the same way stealing a wallet from a comatose person is. yea, you won, but really, was there any sort of challenge? it is for this reason alone that i don't care if someone is account sharing, having a uh, automated system heal for them, etc. bring it on. i'm still going to win.
this is about the point i respond, informing them that i will attack anyhow and they can lose as many troops as they wish reinforcing or watch as i decimate the city. why anyone would stop attacking someone just because they are online is beyond my realm of understanding.Imagine you are ready to attack someone- all prepped up. "People once believed, that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes, something so bad happens, that a terrible sadness is carried with it and the soul can't rest. Then sometimes, just sometimes the crow could bring that soul back to put the wrong things right"
