Maybe it's time to start thinking before you invest your money into buying game cents for a game that 'claims' that they will take a tough stance against those that do not follow the Terms of Service.

What am I talking about?

Lets see - I play on SS2, we had a major sweep last week for what I presume to be those that might be using 3rd party applications in conjuction with Evony's platform. Were some in my own alliance snared in this?Presumably so due to their status, but one never knows and there are many players that flat out deny any wrongdoing - yet Evony still suspended them. When however will Evony do what it says it will do - start taking specific and drastic action?

Understand the need for many to feel that they 'have' to use 3rd party apps to play and have a real life, but the real answer is NO YOU DONT. However, by continuing to give these players simple slaps on the wrists every 4-6 weeks, putting them on 3 day vacations where they can't be touched, Evony is essentially supporting the habit.

So, when it comes time to decide whether to buy one of the promoted packages maybe one needs to ask one's self, "is it really worth it for me?" I mean you put your $30USD up, get the buffs you want, etc, and then you get spammed for 12 hours from one of the players I was referring to earlier, maybe losing a city, but definitely an army. When does the risk/reward pay off?

I'll report any botter I find as soon as I can validate it, but I wont subscribe to just open claims that someone is botting. We play the game, and for the most part you can pretty much tell when someone is or isnt' botting - but it's not for me to police - it is for Evony to do so. Thus far they are doing a 'fair' job at it, yet they FAIL when addressing the problem. Giving parties 3 day vacations, even after multiple infractions, has got to go. I submit it's time for Evony to put up and start actually closing accounts, or just go with it. Then again, maybe they are just going with it and I'm in denial?

Anyone else got thoughts on this? And by the way, before I get flamed let it be known that I have not been spammed as of yet, but I expect it. I am hoping to have an open and honest conversation on this in the forum - how lucky would that be?
