If two people log in say husband and wife both are not in the same alliance. And saying in the rules you cannot have 2 people from the same computer/s on shouldnt you put it up as a rule that you are scanning ip address?

You CAN have people playing from the "same household." There are just some rules they must follow and they need to get Evony approval in order to avoid getting accidently ID'd as a multi-accounter.
Yes. Evony probably has a sentry program that can see IP address, mac address, and any other identifiers that exist. I'm not that computer-programming "savvy," so I don't know all those tricks.![]()
There are the rules regarding more than one player per householdAccount Use
* Each player is allowed to hold 1, and only 1, account per server.
* If a player or players wish to play two or more accounts from the same network, a Game Operator must be notified without exception. In these cases, the accounts will not be able to have military contact while on the same connection.
* The e-mail address used for the registration of an account must be under the personal and exclusive control of the person who registered the account.
* There is no compensation for damage done by someone logging onto your account, no matter how they got your password, so keep it safe! This leads to the next point.
* Evony Team members and staff will NEVER ask for your password. If anyone claiming to work with the company ever asks for your personal account information, please report them immediately and do not give them your password.
* Commercial account exchanges are not allowed. This includes buying or selling accounts for money or in-game currency. We will monitor such transaction and block accounts that participate in such unfair commercial account trading.
This should be posted ingame somewhere.. I've played since june last year and honestly didn't know (got two kids playing extremely rarely, wife plays frequently and myself playing - but never knew until two days ago when you gave my wife her life back for a24 hours, lol
don't do that again - she talks too much when bored!!!
Actually Dawnseeker does tend to respond to his PMs. He responded to one of mine in a polite and professional manner and I know I am a pain in the butt.
I notified the game ops a couple months ago that a co-worker and I play from the same IP but I never received a reply.
Is it safe to assume that we are in compliance?
That's the problem. No you are not unless someone explicitly tells you that you are.
The same goes for account sitting for someone who has had something happen in their life.
The Game Ops should make an effort to respond and somehow flag accounts or put in a feature whereby someone can assign an account sitter for a specific time period, otherwise people who are doing the right thing will be banned simply because no one answered their mail.
Just a note that may answer your question: any time you connect to any website or game, that server will have your IP address and, in most cases, will keep a log of it.
