Would it have been so difficult to send out a Letter stating the NEW Punishment before it was enacted? Such as. Effective 3/3 if you are found to be in Violation of the TOS from this date forward you will be permanently Banned? I think many actually enjoyed the 3 days vacation and actually encouraged them to continue. Evony really should take some responsibility for this encouraged behavior. No the 3 day holiday didn't work but you could have prevented all these Bans by simply telling people what the NEW consequences are.

I wasn't around to see it, but from what I'm hearing there was at least one post on the forums, prior to the bans, that stated punishments were about to become much harsher.

It would have been much easier for the players to prevent than for Evony, though. I think things could have been handled a bit better myself (communications between Evony and the players could really use some improvements), but the lion's share of blame has to land on the players.

I agree 100% with the players part in this. But the 3 day holiday was not the answer and I think Evony could have prevented all this by a simple email out to all members. Now the forums are filled up with all these people angry and the Moderators have to deal with all this hostility. It could have been diminished considerably if they had given this any thought before this action

We appreciate your concern and take note of your point of view on the matter. As things stand, however, us Moderators will perform our forum duties and leave the customer service part to the proper people.

I must vehemently disagree with this idea. If players did not cheat, they would not be banned, and so the punishment is irrelevant. If players are cheating, I don't feel we are compelled to inform them of increased punishments prior to enacting them. I did hint that players who cheated and thought they were off with a 3 day holiday would be in for a rude awakening. If people chose to continue cheating after repeated warnings across the forums and a 3-day suspension, then I have a hard time accepting blame for that.

Maybe not compelled but how on earth could an email be detrimental to Evony? and it would have most certainly prevented a large percentage of these bans. Less people banned = more money! Less Hostility! It would have only cost someone 2 minutes to write and saved perhaps 1000s of charge backs.

The multiple 3 day bans that were passed out were more than enough warning to people cheating
