I'll probably get hammered for this, but IMO this is a very ignorant comment.
The need for massive armies in the game has not been eliminated merely by eliminating the script kiddies. All you've done is eliminate those players who accumulated resources automatically.
There are still plenty of people who have nothing better to do than spend 12 or 16 hours per day online sending out farming teams to support their armies.
Furthermore, more alliances are now having their "heavy hitters" garrison troops at alliance mates' embassies, to reduce their food consumption and effectively "spread out" the need for farming.
In my opinion the comment above illustrates succinctly that Evony's management is out of touch with their customer base, and their concept of how game mechanics "should be" is a fantasy compared to how they actually are.
