I sat here and read, every single day for months and months, dozens of threads and thousands of pm's from players who ranted and raved about how "broken" AgeI is. They wanted AgeII, and they wanted it now. They wanted very specific things: more quests, more items, more end-game options, more ways to customize your heroes, something to let you actually save the queen, more ways to put strategy into the game, options to decrease the need to farm, and more boobs. Guys, you got everything but the boobs.

So now, all the same people who screamed for months are now here screaming that they didn't want any changes, the game should stay the way it is, and how dare we change it?

The same people who demanded to know when AgeII was coming, who mocked the very idea it might show up before 2012, are beside themselves with grief that it's come "without warning". Hello? We've been talking about it since May. Where have you been? Oh yes, you were here complaining that AgeII couldn't come soon enough. /facepalm

I have never in my entire life witnessed so much whining and complaining, especially from people who are being given precisely what they asked for. People are upset that we didn't conduct opinion polls or ask the users what they wanted. Go through the archives and read what has been said over the course of almost a year here on these forums. Oh, we certainly did ask what you wanted, and you told us, and that is what AgeII is based upon!

We've promised, publicly, that you'll not lose what you've worked for. Yet in every single thread about the subject, someone is guaranteed to post something like this:

You all complain that none of us listen to you anymore and that we just close threads and delete posts. Holy canoli, what would you do? The game code is written, the decisions mostly made. We're just working out bugs and fine-tuning at this point. Almost a full year of very hard work has gone into AgeII. No, we're not abandoning it, working in major changes, or sidelining it as an "extra" at this point. That's simply ridiculous for you to even suggest. Is the beta the finished product? No. Are there still a few more changes being made? Yes. Does your opinion still matter? Yes. But you aren't going to get us to give it up entirely or make massive changes to the game at this point.

So just once, for one day, could we all please calm down the panic, stop the yelling, put down the torches and pitchforks, and just chill? For one day? I think you might find that the entire staff here would see it as not only a refreshing change, but it might just improve our moods. If nothing else, drop some of the negativity and find SOMETHING positive. You'll make yourselves sick if all you do is complain.
I think they want to keep the two game completely separated from each other.

Many of these players have been accustomed to the age 1 game style and simplicity. Age 2 will take that away with its new many features.
Although the basic functions is still there, it barely have the feel of age 1. Sure many will love this game, but the question is, how many will stay for long term.

What I would recomend is to keep both games open and allow players to experience Age 2 for what is it in the normal speed and then they can decided if they want to move. Atleast allow them the option to decided.

Noone wants to lost anything they worked for, specially if it took a considerable time to.

I know how that feels, because I've lost my account for being mistakenly thought to have used bottss. I stayed in the forum to see what Evony is going to do about things like this and because I have made soo many friends who have been very supportive through this ordeal.
