    Then whats the point of defenses? Why cap how much you can build defense-wise?

    How about this, I get a real castle, and you can have 80k archers, you think a castle has ever fallen to archers alone?

    Archers changed how battles were fought, in this game-they are all you need. Period.

    Defenses should require siege to effectively remove.

    I think it's funny that at the low end people complain about how their castles are too weak and easily killed, and at the high end people complain about how it is I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E to breach some castles (depending on size / alliance).

    I'd say that it indeed sounds like some middle ground needs to be established, though for now the idea that is lost on most small players is that they will not survive by themselves.

    They need to
    A) Band together with other nearby smallfry to protect each other
    B) Be active enough to not be a resource rich target
    C) Expend resources in such a way so as not to be an honor rich target

    The game *does* provide these options, and barring some jerk who likes being mean allows you to build yourself up into a place where you can reasonably defend.

    Perhaps petition for some kind of lowbie attack penalty too. Like if someone with 10x your prestige attacks you with 100x your forces, they lose honor instead of gain it. Iunno on that.

    First, they cried about defenses being inpenetrable. Now, they cry about defenses being useless. This is what happens when the devs listen to the fanboi 12 year olds who can't be bothered to build strategically. The devs listened to the "iruberleethxxorzroflcpterpewpewpew" crowd and effectively destroyed their game in the process.

    Bring back our defenses and tell your fanbois to "pie hole it" and L2P!

    Jump server 7, bail on everything you have left behind. Build 10's of thousands of Warriors and archers, leave protection and spam the AI in day 3. If it fails, if someone hits your city, ditch the account, do it again.

    The restart game has been disabled from the get go. The fail factor is 100% once you are plundered, depth doesnt exsist. You might as well be playing online checkers.

    The problem is there is no logical path to building armies.
    The easiest answer is to make people pay thier armies.

    In most cases, an army is 5% of its population, war time that can go up 400% to 20% of its population. Mothers, children, seniors dont fight.

    As it is right now, a city of 50,000 people are supporting armies of 100K. All archers or warriors, being fed from the market, clearly intended to die.

    Force Cities to hold armies they can actually afford and the Zerging stops.
