Well Rota is awesome!!!!! and I"m sure he'll get modship soon....very soon. but I guess there are reasons for Jurnis becoming a mod.

I know a lot of people probably fear that Jurnis will abuse his new power. This fear may be justified, since he tends to godmod himself in thread fights. But, he hasn't actually crossed the line as an actual mod, yet. Evony is willing to give him a chance, I am too.

He might just surprise you doubters in the end, please don't jump to conclusions.
Give him the opportunity to step up to the plate and handle his new responsibilities with class and maturity.

We have a new Senior Moderator in Wildor. He should be able to help provide some guidance to Jurnis about being a mod. There's a whole mini-community of mods that will keep Jurnis in their peripheral vision until he gets on his feet as a mod.

Frankly, I have to agree. Is this a sign that we are returning to the Sovverf era when modship isn't granted based on who would make the best candidate but to whoever asks for the job?

I do understand that there is more deserving people but, Maybe those people turned it down.

Or maybe more Reps and mods would have rather liked to see jurnis as a mod.

I am offended by the very existence of this thread. I take it as an insult aimed at Jurnis and frankly, you don't deserve an answer. However, to be fair to Jurnis, I will give an answer. After that, I am closing this thread and if I see so much as a disrespectful peep aimed at him, I'll be pretty darn ticked off.

Jurnis has a rather extensive posting history here. Nearly 2,000 posts. In all of those posts, he has maintained a positive attitude. He has been respectful of others. He can SPELL. He's intelligent, an avid player of the game, and helpful. When he puts forth an opinion on something, you can count on the fact that he does so thoughtfully and without bashing those who disagree.

Jurnis has never been infracted. He has never trolled. He doesn't bash, or flame, or stir up trouble. He's extremely active here on the forums. And although you who don't ever creep out of OT may not know him, he is known and liked and respected elsewhere on the forums.

I assure you that based upon these qualities alone, he far exceeds the qualifications of almost every other would-be moderator.

As for Rota, he knows he is respected and valued by the staff here for all that he does, as is evidenced by his custom user title and certain special permissions he was given. The reasons he is not a moderator are between himself and the staff, and (to be blunt) none of your business. It should not reflect badly upon him or us that he isn't a green name.
