    Default why not go subscription based?

    It makes sense if you think about it.

    Seeing as how Evony boasts having 15 million users this is what they could make monthly.

    10.00 per month per user @ 15 million users is 150 million in revenue

    15.00 per month per user @ 15 million users is 225 million in revenue

    10.00 per month would get 10,000 cents to spend for each 30 days

    15.00 per month would get 15,000 cents to spend for each 30 days

    In the end users save month and Evony makes a ton more money for having a plan that makes cents (yes I did that on purpose).

    Also, the drop rates on medals, crafting ingredients and other items need to be increased dramatically.

    If they still want to have a non sub game then they could have a seperate server for those that want to remain as it is now.

    i dont mind the idea but if that happened evony would need to have alot of people commit to it or it wouldnt be worth their while.

    Evony is a freemium game.
    I can't think of a widely successful RTS subscription game offhand, there are too many free options in that genre.

    Your right but nothing wrong with trying my idea out on one server to see if it could be successful.

    i doubt they have 15 mil users but eeh i do know tho many player like my self hate the idea on having to spend hundreds of dollars on a game that doesn't give much IMO rip off sorry evony but the cost is outrageous specially for a browser game ?

    i like the idea i'm sure other would love this idea as well they would do a lot more with a simple set up like that they just may get players like my self to buy into it then

    so they would spend 10 dollars a month and get 100 dollars worth of cents each month.. ya thats a great business model.... /Sarcasm

    LOL anyway on a serious note this isnt going to happen because then they would lose a guestimate of 90% or so of their player base due to the fact that a TON of the players are to young to pay for such a thing and their parents certainly wouldnt buy it for them.

    Oh btw this doesnt belong in beta so im moving it to Gen Dis

    You are right on the money.
    What makes game like Evony fun is the sheer numbers of players regardless of paying or none paying players.

    I can think of several games that is an award winning game (won't mention name due to possible banning =) ), however, those who lacked advertising which resulted in falling below most hardcore players radar, were doom to fail, due to the lack if not limited amount of players with high turn over rate.

    [note] Keep in mind that every hardcore players has a followers.

    reason this wont work, is well....people just wont pay an equivalent costs to an mmorpg for a browser game.

    It sounds like Runescape to me.
