Well, it's nice to see you've calmed down. I saw this thread started by you, and a rainbow of names in it, and I thought, "Ut oh. Here we go." I'm glad to see I was wrong.
I'd like to start by saying I just threw a lot of rep around for the posts I've seen in here. Hyena and Kalent have made dead-on accurate statements, and DCJerboa is gonna get a raise. Hey DC, starting tomorrow, you're at double pay! What's 2 x 0?
And Crip and Ghost...are you the troll tag team or something now? Or does Ghost just stalk Crip? I'm still trying to figure that one out....
Criplockin' for mod! I'd totally support that.
As for the original questions, it really is very simple and several posters here have touched on it already. Your premise is that the people of OT should have some say in who their mod is and how they are run. You say you think they could be smart and calm and logical, and make choices that benefit the community instead of being based upon popularity and post count.
Are you new here?
Look, you have some great people here in OT. This was my first home here at Evony and I still hold quite a soft spot for it. Unfortunately, that soft spot has spread to some people's heads. Go read the history...the incredibly altered and biased and revisionist....history of OT. You have a little core group here who thinks they run the kingdom, and they rather mercilessly bully anyone who doesn't strike their fancy. What's more, a good number of the most active members here are also highly active on other websites that are....well, let's just say they won't make Evony's top ten favorites list, ok? And when they venture out of OT to other areas of the forum, they bash Evony in general pretty badly. Oh yes, and a good portion of them don't even play the game!
Do you honestly think that our company is going to let people like that have any serious measure of control over our staffing decisions or how we maintain our forums? When this community shows itself to be mature and thoughtful, and stops pandering to the few who would see the destruction of everyone and everything to benefit themselves, then we'll talk. Until then, I'm afraid that the best we can offer is to let you speak your minds in this way, so long as you remain calm and courteous.
