I'd say harmony between company and customer is a business credo for any business. But there is a line between how much customers can throw their opinion around and when a business needs to make its own decisions in matters. I mean, I can't think of a business off-hand that lets its customers choose its workers. Walmart doesn't let me choose its shelf-stockers. Microsoft doesn't let me choose their programmers. My school didn't let me choose their teachers. And why should they? It would be like your neighbors or friends telling you who you're allowed to date or what pets you're allowed to have in your house.

While I agree with you on your post and believe it was well said and thought out, I just wanted to say that from this POV Ive always seen the mods of OT specifically, i dont know how other parts work, as our sort of class presidents. They all start as regular members here, and over time as people grow to love them and they become an important part of the community some are modded. They then become responsible for our behavior, etc. While still remaining a major part of the group. I.E. Foxybunny, Kittiana, Zenrax, Draszyr, Logrus, Aru.

I'd like to start by saying I just threw a lot of rep around for the posts I've seen in here.

When this community shows itself to be mature and thoughtful, and stops pandering to the few who would see the destruction of everyone and everything to benefit themselves, then we'll talk.

I do agree on the 2nd paragraph, to a point. I believe that OT experienced its most blatant split between new and old 2-3 months ago. Now I feel that, while we aren't sitting around a campfire singing Cum bi ya , we are beginning to patch the difference between enw and veteran members.

However there are always those who have trouble letting go of the past, especially when it is such a colorful, awesome one. Eventually these people will learn to accept that the Golden Age will never return, though Draszyr will at the rapture, and we will be able to experience a new age in OT: The Platinum Age. Until then all we can do is attempt to get along and have fun.
