Love is stronger then death, even though it cant stop death from happening
But no matter how hard it tries, it can't stop people from loving each other, it can't take away those memories
In the end, life is stronger then death. But how much it hurts...

It's really just a different wording of the same question, as the better government is generally the one that lasts longer.
Ah, I forgot about that. Sorry for stealing your thread idea. Lol.

Well this is my biased and semi-relgious opinion. If rome hadn't become and empire, most of europe would have became Islamic. Italy today is very relgious. A strong Roman Catholic society. If they hadn't expanded and created the Byzantine Empire, Italy today would be Islamic. Spain and France would be overrun by the Moors. Turkey would control Greece, Macedonia and maybe Italy it'self.

It could also be said that Christianity was responsible for the schism which led to the collapse of the Roman Empire (did you know there were two Roman Emporers at one point? One in Rome, one in Byzantium.) and the beginning of the Dark Ages in Europe.

At first the Empire was much more sucessful. Their only mistake was allowing weak leaders to become Emporer, which lead to the decline of the Empire.

    I sooo call owl #3...

Now that I'm done derailing my own thread, it's time to get it back on track.

These are all excellent points. Keep up the good work!

Also, I agree with Armbarchris on that one. If Julius Caesar was immortal (I know it's impossible...), the Rome could possibly be controlling the world today! Lol.

Empire is not a form of government. Republic is. You can be a Republic but be an empire

An Empire is a government ruled by an Emperor, who is generally autocratic. Thank you.
