J, I had that idea before you did, but whereas Ardenian has an actual PHYSICAL opposite of himself, Layne's split conscience has both sides of him fighting over the control of his body. So whereas in one scene, Layne may be a blood-craving demon, and in the next, he could be studying the history of the Tranburg rodeo. Confusing, isn't it?
