Is it just me, or is it every so often the world map just freezes for a few seconds, slows the mouse right down, then goes back to normal, then does it again? I'm on Server 6 if that makes any difference.![]()

Seems slightly better if anything to me, but that's not saying much. The game itself still lags like no other.
Hmm...well before the map update the world map would move perfectly, and even when the world map is stationary and I just hover my mouse over a valley to see its' level, it takes literally 10 seconds.![]()
Not that this is definitely your problem, i have actually experienced that kind of lag before/after the map update (from the way it sounds).
I think its that your browser has been open for too long and there is a memory leak somewhere. Try closing the game and logging back in... i bet you wont have the delay you are talking about.
After i have the game open for an extended period of time it seems to slow down slightly until i relog.
We have a world map?
The world map is what you see when you click MAP view at the top-right side of your primary window.
You can move about in the "world" area by left-clicking and dragging your mouse, or using your arrow keys.
I haven't noticed much lag due to the new world map graphics, but then -- I haven't been able to stay logged into the game long enough to really check it out.
On Most Servers (Both Ages) / Playing Since May 2009
i dont like the graphics, but i do like the fact that since the update, i have lagged a lot lot less.![]()

That world eh...well after image "upgrade"(?), it's actually working better. Good trade off I guess. I don't really want high quality graphics if we are to die from lag.
