Helped do a game Mod for Winter Asault, turned it into the Starship Troopers vs. Warrior Bugs. It was sick how much fun I had doing the "attack cuts" where they would grab troopers and rip them appart. The one I made of them ripping open a tank, grabing the driver and shreading him is on youtube still I think. People got a kick outa that one.
Just a 3 view of a cannon turret for the game. Bugs didn't like them at all.
Lucas Arts never made a full sized one, everything you saw in the movies was digital. All the parts are, of course, hand made and there is not a single nail or screw in him. It's all wood joints and pivots. He took about 12 weeks to build, had to design every part from watching the movies and scaling up the 12" toy. Believe it or not there were actually about 34 models of Battle Droids used. Subtal differences but they were obvious when you studied them as long a I did :P
Costume from last haloween. Was fun walking around in it, I got asked by SO many people for pictures with them.
This was the "pre-design" for the Star Gate we eventually made vacuum-form molds of. Guy contacted me and asked if I could make something cool for his living room. We talked for a few hours and I found out he was a HUGE fan of the show so I chose the Gate to do. The final one was mounted on his wall with a flat screen 62" TV behind it. I used gossamer fabric (a light blue) so the TV isn't visable till it's turned on. The first time he did, his jaw droped, I'd figured out how to make it spin and "lock" like the one on the show. It's only a few seconds but the effect is crazy cool :P
