Chris, I'm going to tell you a little story. It's all about how these two countries had a huge war, and eventually one defeated the other. There were a few other guys fighting, but they really didn't do all that much.

The title of this story is World War Two.

For anyone without an ignorant, Western-centric perspective, the fight between the Soviet Union and Germany was quite obviously the main focus of WWII. Roughly 80% of all German casualties took place there, and even while the invasion of France was well under way, the Germans were still moving some troops from France to try and hold back the Soviets.

Basically, it wouldn't have mattered if the U.K. had lost in North Africa and Pearl Harbor had never happened. It might have taken a little longer, it might have ended differently, but the Axis would have lost.
