Flawed in several ways:
I'm sure "everyone" was unhappy since it is a well-known fact that unhappy customers are 4 to 9 times as likely to say something than are satisfied customers. Further, in a game such as this, it's much much more likely the losers -- those who cannot learn to play it as well as others -- will complain.
Further "for a very long time" became such a long time, in fact, that by the time such changes were ready, those users were already gone.
On the flip side, I know two players -- TWO -- that are anticipating AgeII. Mainly because "it's pretty", a contention with which I wholeheartedly disagree.
